Dr. Alka Saxena is an avid advocate of the socioemotional well-being of children. She earned her MBBS from the prestigious Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. She is a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator (by Positive Discipline Association, Atlanta, GA, USA), a Life Skills Education Trainer, and a Parenting Coach. An empathetic individual, she seeks to add value to people’s lives and empower them to be their best selves.
Dr. Alka is the Deputy Director at Blue Bells Group of Schools, Gurgaon. The Health and Wellness Programme of Blue Bells Group of Schools is her unique initiative. She develops and conducts workshops for various organizations, teachers, students, parents, and healthcare professionals. She often integrates life experiences and her love for nature and art in her endeavours.
As a parent, she cherished bringing up her children, which sparked her interest in nurturing young minds. She has trained as a facilitator for Parenting Sessions under the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development and the Adolescence Education Programme under the Central Board of Secondary Education. She has been a Senior Resource Person with Expressions India, Times of India (NIE), and Macmillan Publishers.
She is currently associated with CBSE as a Resource Person. She is also a faculty member at the Association of Adolescent and Child Care in India (AACCI) and Mittika. Dr. Alka takes great joy in spending time with her family and exploring shared interests with them.
